I e-mailed him back thanking him for his time, but we were moving forward with a different lender. On Monday, I received a follow up e-mail from Marty asking when we were looking to move forward with the paperwork. We were pre-approved by both lenders with the same terms, so we anticipated on moving forward with the credit union to expedite the process by taking advantage of e-sign capabilities.
We applied to two lenders: one being a credit union who is capable of e-sign and the other being Trident, who is not caught up with times and had to overnight FedEx our loan documents, which must be signed/notarized and overnight sent back via FedEx. My advice to all boating enthusiasts that are dreaming of owning a boat or an older model yacht. Based on our prior experience trying to work with other lenders, we didn’t think we could get an approval for our dream boat. Our second choice was another beautiful boat that was $65K less. Boat number one was the most expensive and what we considered to be our dream boat. My husband and I remarked that this couldn’t be this easy?!! How could it be this easy?!! The funny thing is, we provided Vincent with (2) boats of choice. We were floored and couldn’t believe how quick and easy this process was. We submitted our loan application in the morning and by early afternoon, Vincent had an approval for us. Not to mention, he replied to all our questions within 1-2 minutes and not several hours or even days later. He is the complete opposite of what my husband and I experienced from other marine lenders. We could instantly tell that Vincent was experienced, no nonsense, and an expert at his craft.
